Matthew Nunley, Jr. was born to Matthew Nunley, Sr. and Wilma Jean Owens Nunley on July 27, 1954 in Oklahoma City, OK.
He accepted Christ as His Personal Savior at the age of 10 at the True Vine Baptist Church, Spencer OK where he was a member.
Matt attended Oklahoma City Public Schools and graduated from Northeast High School with the Class of 1972 in Oklahoma City OK and attended Langston University.
He joined the United States Army in January 1975 and received an honorable discharge.
Matt worked as a mechanic on airplanes in the Army and with cars after his discharge with Montgomery Wards. He was employed with the Oklahoma City Public Schools as a bus driver. He also worked with JASCO Product Company of OKC in the building maintenance department until his retirement in December 2019.
Matt’s passion was singing R&B with their group along with Mark Stafford, Leonard Johnson and Lennox. He loved sports, especially, the Dallas Cowboys and the Oklahoma City Thunder. He loved sharing the Word of God even throughout the time of his illness he was quoting the scriptures.
He leaves to cherish his fond memories: one daughter, Shonta Johnson Flowers; two sons, Donte Webb and Diante Webb; two sisters, Earlene (Rev. Lonnie) Walker and Jacquelyne Case (Paul) Howard; grandchildren, Deshayla A. Flowers, Tiana L. Flowers, Jada L. Flowers, Kaliyah Webb, Kayshawn Webb, Meona Webb, Koyon Webb and Jamis Webb; two great grandchildren, Jeremiah D. Spencer Flowers and Mariah M. Flowers; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends
