Georgia Mae McGee

Georgia Mae McGee was born in Mineral Springs, AK on May 17, 1937, to Reverend Worth and Verda McGee. She attended public school in Toilett, AK. She united with Flint Hill Methodist Church at a young age. She moved to Duncan, OK in 1956 where she then united with Stone Chapel Methodist Church. She was a faithful member of the choir. Because of her love for others, she dedicated her life to nursing as a CMA for thirty-five years. “Aunt Georgie”, was a mother figure to all her nieces and nephews. She was the queen of nicknames to her family and friends. She loved to go fishing with her “cane” pole and if it ever broke, she would just tape it back up. Among her many talents, she was a great cook and an even better dancer.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Worth and Verda McGee, her sister Mary Coulter, her brothers William “Dick” McGee, Rufus McGee, and Charles “Buster” McGee. She leaves behind her sisters Flora Russell, Marva Troy, Shirley “Pat” Bonner all of Duncan, and Janis Grey of Killeen, TX, brothers Frank McGee of Grand Prairie TX, James McGee and Tommy McGee of Duncan, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
