Jacqueline Kay Stephens

September 13, 1935 — January 15, 2009

Jacquelyn Kay Shinault Stephens was born September 13, 1935 to Shirley Sr.and Gladis (Thompson) Shinault in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Jacquelyn attended school at Washington from elementary through high school. She was one of nine classmates to graduate in 1953 from Washington High School. While in school a few of her natural joys were choir, home economics, and cooking. While living in Stillwater, Jacquelyn worked at the Nina Store and after graduation, she moved to Denver, Colorado. In 1959 she moved to Oklahoma City where she was blessed with five children, four boys and one girl. She attended Beauty College, and had a variety of work experiences. Some of her work experiences consisted of: catering, Neox Telecom, Jeltz, Adkins as a caregiver, and Circle J's. During her employment at Circle ls, she became well known for her "Famous Pies. "It can be well said that Jacquelyn was the pillar of her family." Jacquelyn was led to the Lord through the ministry of the late F.D. Lawson, Sr.and later served under the late Bishop F.D. Lawson, Jr., S.E.Jurisdiction of the Church of God in Christ, Inc. Jacquelyn served the Lord with Destiny Christian Center under Pastor Lawrence Neisent and finished her course while serving under Pastor James Otis Lawson, Sr., Trinity Word of Faith, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the third generational Minister to the Lawson family. She believed that the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit had something to do with this assignment. We all agree with Mother Stephens when she would say, "Hallelujah, Thank You Jesus!" She is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers: Shirley Jr., Harold Sr., and Robert (Bobby J); one son, Arthur B. (Junior); and her only daughter, Shirley Kay. Those left to cherish Jacquelyn's memory are: three loving sons: Ricky (Charwynne) of Oklahoma City, David (Jana)of Midwest City, and Gary (Shandra) of Midwest City; daughter-in-law, Tara Stoner-Limper (Arthur); son-in-law, Kerry Don (Shirley); ex-husband, Foster Stephens of Oklahoma City; adopted sister,Mattie V Brown of Arkansas; 13 grandchildren: Sonjuana, La Ressa,Iavis, Johnetra, Charnell, Twyla, Marvis, Ashley, Amber, Aaron, Asia, Christian, Little Gary; 21 great-grandchildren; special nieces and nephews; and a host of many relatives and friends.
